But then, you realize that it's not really funny. It's just plain horrifyingly awful. And the laughter you felt morphs into a wistful, melancholic sound.
After all is said and done, you are left with a sense of bewilderment. You question about the meaning of it all. Was this some kind of twisted art experiment?
Or were we just living in a simulation gone wrong?

The earthquake struck with devastating force, consuming entire cities in its path. Buildings crumbled like sandcastles, and the screams that erupted was deafening. Worst Day Ever
It all started with a case of terrible hair. I couldn't make it to look decent. As I was getting ready out the door, I stumbled and dropped my lunch all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was totally running behind here for school.
I flustered. My {boss|teacher|was absolutely furious. I tried to explain, but it was a hopeless situation.
The rest of the day was just as bad. Everything. I stay awake.
By the time I reached my destination, I was utterly defeated. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
